Naureen Sheergar Occupational Therapist

Naureen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Physiology in 2012 at Simon Fraser University, and then went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta the following year. Since then, Naureen has obtained over 8 years of direct clinical experience working in the public health sector in both acute care and long term care facilities, in addition to working in the private sector, providing community occupational therapy services. She has extensive experience working with clients with acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, orthopaedic injuries, mental health conditions, as well as older adults with cognitive and physical impairments. She has also worked with clients with spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, and end-stage cancer. Naureen has expertise in the areas of equipment prescription, functional assessments and hospital discharge planning, and physical and cognitive rehabilitation.
